More Information about MEDCoE
The U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence, or MEDCoE, is located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and is responsible for the medical organisation and education of the U.S. Army. MEDCoE traces its roots as the Army's medical educators back to the Medical Field Service School (MFSS), established over 100 years ago in 1920 at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania.
MEDCoE provides state-of-the-art, hands-on and scenario-led training to all of the Army's serving medical personnel, teaching them the vital skills and knowledge they need to be able to serve successfully. Given the importance of their role, MEDCoE is committed to setting and maintaining the highest educational standards.
In partnership with Alison, MEDCoE has created a wide range of high quality online courses that are available for free and which cover a variety of the subjects studied by their own students. These courses include both mental and physical health topics, as well as the various systems of the body, from the nervous to the cardiovascular system. MEDCoE's Alison courses also include expert offerings on physical fitness and nursing skills and leadership, providing learners with cutting-edge information that will set them apart from their peers.
