With 21 bedrooms and 3 acres of gardens, Mount Carmel can host our global team travelling to meet each other from across the world. The best way of getting to know everyone is to host them in Ireland!

As a for-profit social enterprise, Alison is always looking for ways to make a social impact. The restoration of the monastery presented an opportunity to protect the cultural heritage of the buildings and gardens, have a very modern place to work and meet when required, and also provide access to its lands and gardens for recreation for local community enjoyment.

At the moment, we don’t use the accommodation part of the Monastery. The war between Russia and Ukraine has left many Ukrainians displaced and to help them, we opened our doors to refugees in the short-term as part of Ireland’s response to this international emergency. Empowering people can be done by many means, not least providing a safe space to those who need it in a crisis.

There is something nice about having as a HQ a place where the good of others was always a concern. We are proud to continue the legacy of the Carmelite Sisters in trying to make the world a better place, and this wonderful location inspires us. We look forward to welcoming our staff and someday many of our graduates from around the world to Mount Carmel in the years ahead.
