The United States Agency for International Development is the lead US government agency tasked with administering foreign aid and development assistance. With a budget of over $25 billion, USAID is one of the world's largest aid agencies.
Central to USAID's mission is to work towards ending extreme global poverty and help foster resilient and democratic societies which can realize their potential. USAID works in partnership with a diverse range of other government agencies, donors, foreign governments, the private sector and social enterprises such as Alison to promote equitable access to inclusive, quality education for all – especially the most marginalized and vulnerable.
Through Alison's far-reaching and popular platform, USAID has created a series of courses focusing on trades such as electrics, plumbing, carpentry and masonry. These courses have been designed to bring any learner from being a complete beginner to having an accomplished skillset in their chosen trade which will assist them find gainful employment.
