Electronics is a part of physics and technology that deals with the movement and behaviour of electrons. It basically studies how electrons travel through gasses, vacuums or semi-conductor mediums. Electronics is found in the creation of transistors, microchips, sensors, diodes and integrated circuits, among other technologies.

‘Electrical’ deals with the flow of electricity or charged particles. Electronics deals with electrons. The two fields are very close and have a lot of overlap but, according to the University of Sheffield International College, a good way of discerning them is to remember that, ‘electrical devices convert electrical energy into other forms of energy, for example heat, light or sound.Electronic devices control the flow of electrons in order to perform a task’.
