    Money - Some sports are expensive because they require lots of expensive equipment or clothing. For example skiing. Time - This would have to be the single largest reason why people don't participate in sport. School provides many pressures, especially during the later years. Part-time jobs and other such activities encroach on time available for sport. Many people take up sport again after they have finished school.

    Promoting involvment in physical activity: positive and negative influential factors - cost and time Cost and time Cost - Events such as skiing, polo, golf, and equestrian events are high cost sports and this can limit the people who are able to participate. Time - This would have to be the single largest reason why people don't participate in sport. School provides many pressures, especially during the later years. Part-time jobs and other such activities encroach on time available for sport. Many people take up sport again after they have finished school. Working full time and coping with the day-to-day responsibilities of having a family are also very time-consuming, reducing the time available for physical activity.
