GALWAY, IRELAND - 2026-08-03
Surpassing the 100,000-graduate mark in Uganda, Alison has reached a major turning point for free online education. This milestone highlights the vital intersection of youth empowerment, digital inclusion, and practical skill acquisition within the country.
Rather than measuring initial course interest, this accomplishment is defined by successful completion. This indicates that by completing courses, Ugandan Alison Graduates have demonstrated their capability and proactively prepared themselves for future academic or professional endeavours.
Aligning with Uganda’s Vision: The Role of Accessible Learning in Digital Growth
Uganda's digital context makes the milestone especially relevant. FRED data sourced from the World Bank shows internet use in Uganda stood at 8.95% of the population in 2024, underlining both the progress still needed on digital access and the importance of flexible learning options for those already online.
Uganda is also working to expand digital public services and citizen engagement. The Government's Digital Transformation Roadmap 2023-2028 is designed to operationalise Uganda's Digital Vision 2040, with core areas including government systems, public service delivery, digital citizen engagement, and GovTech enablers.
Building Careers, One Course at a Time
For Alison, the 100,000 Graduates milestone in Uganda shows that Learners are serious about building new skills, growing their careers, and taking charge of their economic futures.
This impact is amplified by the accessibility of Alison’s platform, which serves as a vital solution where time, cost, location, or connectivity might otherwise limit access to traditional training. By enabling people to learn from a place that is convenient to them, Alison allows them to choose courses that match their specific goals and progress at their own pace.
That makes the milestone of 100,000 Alison Graduates in Uganda more than just a number; it is a testament to a broader narrative of economic mobility and newfound opportunity.
