Alison, one of the world's largest free online empowerment platforms, today launched Interactive Coding Labs, starting with a new set of Python courses. Instead of only watching lessons, Learners write their own Python code inside the course, run it, and see straight away whether it works.
Each lab places the instructions on one side and a live coding area beside it, so Learners practise every concept as they meet it. The collection is made up of a foundational course that takes Learners from beginner to upper-intermediate level, followed by six advanced specialisations. The first five courses are available now: the Complete Python Bootcamp, and Advanced Python for Data Analysis, for Machine Learning, for Web Development, and for Automation and Scripting. The remaining two specialisations follow in November.
Python is one of the most in-demand programming languages in the world, used in everything from data analysis and automation to machine learning and web development, and it consistently ranks among the most searched-for topics in online education. Yet many people who start learning to code online find that watching tutorials does not translate into being able to write code themselves. Alison’s Interactive Coding Labs are designed to close that gap, by making practice part of every lesson.
