Children who have autism and related disorders require professional and compassionate care. This is where ABA (applied behaviour analysis) professionals step in. With their expertise, they enable children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) to become functional and contribute positively to their societies. To become an ABA professional in the United States, you must acquire either a BCBA (board-certified behaviour analyst) or RBT (registered behaviour technician) certification. While the BCBA certification is quite extensive, the RBT certification is comparatively easier and it is also the focus of this course.
After enrolling, you will study five topics. The first topic describes ASD, their causes and various behavioural, communication and social red flags that can aid in their diagnosis. The second topic analyses different functions of behaviour and agents aiding in their reinforcement. From the third topic onwards, the course will explain RBT certification and its benefits. This will include an analysis of this profession, notable differences between BCBAs and RBTs, and the outline of the RBT examination.
Our course also explains effective strategies you can use when preparing to take your RBT examination. You will also find the roadmap to get yourself registered as a candidate to take the RBT exam. Throughout the course, we have used various charts and infographics to make the material comprehensible, making it easier to pass the RBT exam and begin your professional journey as an RBT professional.
