Dr Kamil Zwolski of My Global Politics is an associate professor in International Politics at the University of Southampton and the programmes director in the Department of Politics and International Relations. He is also a senior fellow of the UK's Higher Education Academy. Zwolski has a PhD in International Politics from the University of Salford in the UK and a Masters in European Studies from the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands. He has written a book called 'European Security in Integration Theory', which examines federalism and functionalism – two fundamental, yet largely forgotten, theories of international integration, in the context of the war in Ukraine and contemporary European security order.
