Green has extensive experience focusing on caregivers' health and wellness, with an emphasis on caregiver stress, burnout, and related family conflicts. Green has contributed to several publications and given presentations that focus on training, assessing, and supporting caregivers throughout their caregiving journey. She is also a published author and has written three books focusing on family caregiving: 'At the Heart of the Matter', 'Caregiving in the New Millennium' and 'Reflections from the Soul'.
In 1997, Green co-founded Caregiver Support Services (CSS), a company that focuses on family and frontline caregivers. The organisation’s mission is to help individuals become great caregivers. It takes a team of people to help others and find solutions for the betterment of the community. CSS understands that health can sometimes be stressful but, with the right support system and focused knowledge, offering care to those in need can be a rewarding experience.
Dr Green has trained over 2 000 caregivers in their Nursing Assistant and Medication Aide Program offered in person at CSS. As CSS works to improve and enhance the company and to help caregivers from all over the world, its courses are now available online. CSS wishes to see people learn and grow as caregivers, reaching new levels of quality care for families and patients in need.
