As a PhD graduate in Economics, Bob Wen's research interests are intergenerational studies, microeconomics, and applied econometrics. He has completed all PhD courses with a GPA of 4.0. His paper "The Causal Effect of Growing Up in a Two-Parent Household on Child's Adult Earnings" won the Best Paper Award at Northeast Business and Economics Association (NBEA) 48th Annual Meeting. Bob has used Stata software in his research for over twenty years and started teaching Stata in 2018.
Bob Wen gave presentations on childhood family structure and intergenerational earnings mobility at Southern Economic Association (SEA) Annual Conference, Western Economic Association International (WEAI) Annual Conference, the International Atlantic Economic Society (IAES) Conference, and Stata Conference in the past few years.
Bob Wen is also a YouTuber, sharing economics knowledge and data analysis methods with the public.
