To address this need, experienced food safety consultant and trainer Saifeldeen Abdalla has partnered with Dr. Helen Onyeaka, Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham, to develop online courses for Food Guard Academy.
With over 25 years of research and teaching experience focused on food microbiology and safety, Dr. Onyeaka lends her academic expertise to provide research-backed best practices to Food Guard Academy. Combined with Saifeldeen’s practical knowledge gained from training food businesses across the UAE.
Dr. Onyeaka provides a comprehensive suite of online training services tailored for professionals and organizations in the food industry. Her areas of expertise encompass food safety and processing, food waste valorization, sustainable microbial food processing, and food process modelling and design. Teaching the principles of food processing modelling and design, enabling participants to optimize food processing operations and product development. On the other hand, Saifeldeen Abdalla offers consultation and education services for implementing food safety management systems such as HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and Halal Foods. He also offers consultation on the ISO/IEC 17020:2012 standard.
