This course will give you a full run-through of systems engineering, why it is important, and how it is conducted. First, you will learn about engineering systems methodologies, systems concepts, and product types, including fault correction, enhancements, revolutionary and iconoclastic. You will then be shown how to identify and evaluate system complexity and how to analyse the causes of a systems failure, a lesson which will make you a very valuable employee in your future company.
Next, you will be given a clear overview of systems thinking, systems modelling, and diagramming. Here, you will be introduced to the most important range of systems engineering models in use today. The course will then give you a specific example of a product development process in terms of the “waterfall” life cycle model of software development, so that you can get a step-by-step run-through of how systems engineering works in practice.
By the end of the course, you will have confidence in using systems concepts and language, and will have gained a strong understanding key systems concepts. This will be a great boost for your professional development, and one that will start you on a respected and profitable career path. For a free course that only takes 3 hours, that’s a pretty good reward. So get started, and by the end of the week you’ll have made a big difference to your career.
