This free online course will teach you to create an entirely operational HMI program and interface it with a PLC.
This course will help you understand the fundamentals of HMI control and how to apply different control methods for using your HMI and PLC. It starts by explaining the necessary steps for using your HMI and giving an overview of the HMI TP04G-AL/TP04G-AL2 series we will use in this course. Next, you will discover how to download and install the Delta TP Editor software and the required materials.
The following sections will explain the Delta TP Editor user interface in detail, including all available menus with their respective options. Also, you will be shown how to configure the Delta TP Editor communication protocol. From there, you will understand all the steps for designing your first HMI display or screen. Some useful tips and tricks for creating an excellent HMI display will be discussed.
The software used to program Delta PLCs is called WPLSoft. How to download and install it will also be explained. Next, you will learn how to make your first program for the PLC in such a way that communicates with an HMI that you programmed in previous lessons. The course then moves on to the practical section, explaining in detail how to use HMI and PLC, and how to interface the HMI screen with Delta PLC DVP-32ES.
