A professional videographer needs both skills, knowledge and equipment to function well. Basic equipment would include a good camera, lighting, a microphone and a tripod. As an amateur, you can create better footage by taking care of a few fundamentals. Make sure the backdrop is not cluttered or distracting and provide plenty of light but don’t have your subject between the camera and a window.
