August 28th. 2017: Practising Sustainable Development

In keeping with the modern development of sustainability, Alison has launched a course: Practising Sustainable Development. Sustainable development is defined by the United Nations as “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” Therefore it is a concern for both the present and future generations.

Practising Sustainable Development explains what sustainable development is and how the ecological, economic and social aspects of sustainable development overlap. The course looks at case studies to evaluate aspects of sustainable development in China and Scotland.
