Who is eligible for the LMS+ free trial?
How does the one-month free trial for LMS+ work?
Will I be charged if I cancel my plan during or at the end of the free trial?
Can I cancel my LMS+ Free Trial at any time?
What features are included during the free trial?
Can I try the LMS+ trial again if I’ve already used it?
How do I cancel my LMS+ subscription?
If you decide to cancel your LMS+ subscription, your organisation will automatically be downgraded to the FreeLMS plan at the end of your current billing period.
Your learners' records, course history, and progress are not deleted, but you will lose access to LMS+ features that are unavailable on the FreeLMS plan.
After your subscription ends, your organisation will no longer have access to features such as:
Other LMS+ features included with your subscription
Any certificates already stored in your Certificate Bank remain yours and can still be assigned after your subscription ends. However, future certificate purchases will be charged at the pricing available on your new plan, so any LMS+ bulk discounts will no longer apply.
If you've uploaded content to the Content Library, we strongly recommend downloading any important files and exporting any reports before your subscription expires. Since FreeLMS does not include Content Library storage, LMS+ content may be removed once your downgrade takes effect.
Monthly plans are billed month-to-month and can be cancelled at any time. Your LMS+ access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
Annual subscriptions are purchased as a 12-month commitment.
Once an annual subscription has been purchased, it cannot be cancelled or refunded before the end of the agreed contract term. Your LMS+ access remains active for the full subscription period.
If you're considering cancelling your subscription, we'd love the opportunity to understand why.
Our Support Team can discuss your training requirements, answer any questions, and help you identify the most suitable LMS+ plan for your organisation. If you still decide to cancel, we'll process your request without affecting your access until the end of your current billing cycle.
To cancel your subscription or move to a lower LMS+ plan:
Select Switch to a lower plan or Unsubscribe.
Choose the option you wish to proceed with and follow the on-screen instructions.
How do I upgrade to LMS+?
Upgrading to LMS+ gives your organisation access to advanced learning management features designed to simplify training administration, improve learner engagement, and provide greater control over your organisation's learning programme.
Depending on your chosen plan, LMS+ includes features such as:
Unlimited learners
Psychometric Assessments (selected plans)
Ad-free learning
Choosing an annual subscription also provides significant savings compared with monthly billing. If you're unsure which plan best suits your organisation, our Support Team are happy to help you compare options and identify the best solution.
You can also review the latest plans, features, and pricing on the LMS+ Pricing page.
To upgrade from FreeLMS to LMS+:
Click LMS+ in the top-right corner of your LMS dashboard, or select Manage LMS+ from the left-hand navigation menu.
Choose the LMS+ plan that best suits your organisation.
Select either Monthly or Annual billing.
Complete your payment or request an invoice.
Once payment has been confirmed, your organisation will immediately gain access to your LMS+ features.
Subscriptions renew automatically on each billing anniversary unless cancelled before the renewal date.
If you wish to change your plan or cancel before renewal, please contact Alison Support before your renewal date to avoid automatic billing.
If your organisation requires an invoice before payment, this can also be arranged during the purchase process.
Invoices are automatically generated for all LMS+ subscription payments and can be accessed from your Billing page. Invoices are also available for bulk certificate purchases of five or more certificates.
Single certificate purchases are completed through the self-service shop and are not eligible for manual invoicing.
Alison is committed to supporting charities, non-profit organisations, and educational institutions.
If your organisation is a registered NGO, non-profit, or educational institution, please contact our Sales team to discuss the support and pricing options available.
For eligible NGOs and non-profit organisations, Alison can also remove the 10-learner limit on the FreeLMS plan upon request.
How do I start an LMS+ free trial?
If you're using FreeLMS and would like to explore the additional features available with LMS+, you can start a 30-day free trial of the LMS+ Growth Plan.
The trial gives you full access to premium LMS+ features, allowing you to evaluate the platform before deciding whether to subscribe.
During your trial, you can experience features such as:
And other LMS+ Growth features
Complimentary monthly certificates are not included during the free trial. However, you can still purchase certificates at the discounted LMS+ pricing throughout the trial period. |
To activate your free trial:
Open the Explore LMS+ page.
Select Start Free Trial.
Enter your valid payment details.
Confirm your trial.
A valid payment method is required to start the trial. However, you will not be charged during the 30-day trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid LMS+ subscription unless you cancel before the trial expires. Your payment method will be charged the day after the trial ends, and you'll receive a reminder email one day before billing. If you cancel your trial before it expires, no payment will be taken. |
The LMS+ free trial is available once per organisation.
Your organisation is eligible only if:
you are currently using FreeLMS;
your organisation has never previously used an LMS+ free trial; and
your organisation has never subscribed to LMS+ before.
If you've previously upgraded to LMS+ or already used a free trial, the trial option will no longer be available.
If you believe your organisation is eligible but cannot access the free trial, please contact the Alison Sales team for assistance.
Your access to LMS+ features continues until the end of the 30-day trial period.
If you choose not to continue:
your account reverts to FreeLMS;
organisation-level data and configurations that rely on LMS+ features (such as uploaded Content Library files and other premium-only settings) may be removed in accordance with the LMS+ trial terms.
If you wish to keep reports or uploaded content for your records, we recommend downloading or exporting them before your trial ends.
You can cancel your trial at any time before it expires.
To cancel:
Open Manage My Subscription from the Explore LMS+ page.
Click Cancel Free Trial.
Confirm the cancellation.
Your LMS+ features will remain available until the end of the 30-day trial period. After that, your organisation will automatically return to the FreeLMS plan.
