GALWAY, IRELAND - 2026-10-02
Alison, one of the world's largest online empowerment platforms, has revamped its free Workplace Personality Assessment, giving millions a clearer picture of how they work, where their strengths lie, and which careers may suit them.
Originally introduced on Alison in 2020 and designed by expert psychologists, the assessment explores how people tend to behave and communicate in professional settings. Similar to a DISC assessment, it provides insights into workplace strengths, motivations, work habits, and learning preferences.
The latest update introduces a new landing page, an improved test experience, and a redesigned results report that makes those insights easier to understand and act on.
Workplace Strengths Become a Bigger Part of the Results
Rather than leaving test takers with a personality type alone, the revamped report identifies their top four workplace strengths and explains what these can mean in a professional setting. It also highlights areas where they may have room to develop, giving people a more balanced picture of how they approach work.
Understanding these patterns can be useful at different stages of a career. Someone preparing for an interview may want to articulate their strengths more clearly, while someone considering a career change may be looking for a better understanding of the type of work that suits them.
Career Suggestions Give the Results Greater Value
The revamped report also suggests career paths based on an individual's results, connecting what the assessment reveals about them with roles that may suit their workplace personality.
This turns the results into more than a description of how someone works. Test takers can see where their natural tendencies may be useful, where they could improve, and which directions they may want to explore next.
To help test-takers address areas that need improvement, the Workplace Personality Assessment also provides personalised course recommendations based on their assessment results.
A Redesigned Experience Makes the Assessment Clearer From the Start
The new Workplace Personality Assessment landing page gives people a clearer idea of what they can expect before starting. It explains the purpose of the assessment, the insights it provides, and how understanding their own workplace personality can support their career development.
The assessment is free and untimed, and typically takes around 15 minutes to complete. Test takers are asked a series of questions about their preferences and behaviours, which are then used to build their individual workplace personality profile.
More than one million people have already taken Alison's wider suite of Psychometric Tests, which includes assessments covering workplace personality, aptitude, mental wellbeing, and English proficiency. The revamped Workplace Personality Assessment builds on that offering by making the results easier to understand and, importantly, easier to use.
