GALWAY, IRELAND - 2026-11-02
Alison has expanded the payment options available through its Stripe checkout, allowing Learners to use more locally popular payment methods when making purchases in the Alison Shop.
Depending on their market, Learners may now see additional payment options alongside debit and credit cards, including services such as Revolut, Klarna, and Satispay in supported European markets.
Checkout Can Now Adapt to Where Learners Are
The expanded Stripe integration means Learners do not need to navigate a long list of payment services from different countries. Instead, the checkout can surface additional options relevant to their market alongside conventional debit and credit card payments.
The change applies to eligible purchases through the Alison Shop, including Certificates, Attestation Letters, and Alison Premium subscriptions.
Revolut, Klarna, and Satispay Expand the Options Available in Europe
The difference is particularly visible across Europe, where payment preferences can vary significantly between countries.
Learners in supported markets can now access options including Revolut, Klarna, and Satispay, bringing payment services already used by European consumers into the Alison checkout.
For Alison, this means the final stage of a purchase can better match the wider online payment environment Learners encounter in their own countries.
A Global Platform Needs More Than One Way to Pay
Serving Learners across 193 countries means localisation extends beyond language and course content. The practical experience of using the platform also needs to account for differences between markets.
Payments are one example. A widely used option in one country may have little relevance in another, while a payment service that people use routinely at home may be absent from an international checkout altogether.
Expanding local payment methods through Stripe allows Alison to address those differences within a single Shop. As the platform continues to serve a global community, its checkout can offer more of the payment options people already know and use where they live.
