Alison has released its first App widget on iOS, giving Apple Learners a simple way to preview course progress from their phone’s home screen without opening the Alison App.
The release brings the same idea behind Alison’s Android App widgets to Apple users. Alison’s first Android widget, released in 2025, proved popular with Android Learners, with thousands tapping the widget and returning to their courses. The new iOS widget gives Apple Learners their own quick progress prompt as part of Alison’s wider mobile learning experience.
Easier to See, Quicker to Continue Learning
The new iOS App widget is designed to make course progress easier to notice during the normal flow of the day. Learners can add the widget to their iPhone home screen and see a simple preview of their progress.
That kind of light prompt can matter. When learning is visible in a place people already look at often, it becomes easier to return to a course, pick up where they left off, and keep momentum going over time.
Building on the Android App Widget’s Success
The iOS release follows Alison’s Android App widget, which showed that Learners responded well to course progress being available at a glance. The Android widget gave Learners a small but useful route back into learning, and its popularity helped shape the next step for Apple users.
Mobile Learning That Fits Everyday Routines
For Learners using the Alison App, the value of a widget is not in adding another feature for its own sake. It is in reducing the small gap between intending to learn and actually returning to a course. The launch reflects Alison’s continued focus on making mobile learning easier to fit into everyday life.
