Alison has introduced Learner Records and Course Verification downloads to its App, giving Learners new ways to keep track of their learning and provide evidence of completed courses directly from their mobile devices.

The two documents serve different purposes. A Learner Record provides an overview of a Learner's history on Alison, including learning that is still in progress, while a Course Verification document provides confirmation that a specific course has been successfully completed.

Both are now available through a new ‘Records and Verification’ section within the Alison App's settings.

Learner Records Bring a Full Learning History Together

A Learner Record is a downloadable PDF summarising an individual's learning history on Alison. It includes courses completed and in progress, grades achieved, Certificates earned, and total study time.

Importantly, study time is recorded whether or not a course has been completed. This means the document can reflect learning activity beyond completed courses alone, giving Learners a broader record of the time and effort they have invested in developing their knowledge and skills.

As people continue learning on Alison, their Learner Record provides a single document through which they can keep track of that growing learning history.

Course Verification Gives Employers and Institutions a Way to Confirm Course Completion

Course Verification documents serve a different purpose and become available once a Learner completes a course.

Each completed course has its own downloadable Verification document, allowing an employer, educational institution, or other third party to verify that the Learner successfully completed that particular Alison course.

Because the Verification document is provided separately for each course, Learners can choose the document relevant to the qualification or skill they need to demonstrate rather than sharing their entire learning history.

Learner Records and Course Verification documents can be used alongside Alison Certificates. Bringing both features to the Alison App gives millions another way to access evidence of their learning wherever they need it.
