IRELAND, 09 July 2020: Alison.com announces the launch of its first psychometric test.  The free workplace personality test has been developed in line with the company's beliefs that all people are entitled to free education and skills training as standard, as well as knowledge about themselves as a person.

Many other professional psychometric tests charge a fee. Alison has developed a free test, by working with psychology and careers experts, that enables the masses to learn about their own strengths and personality types. This will help people to gain a better understanding of what career paths they will find enjoyable and fulfilling.

Mike Feerick, CEO and founder of Alison says, “psychometric testing will give people around the world the tools they need to establish a starting point and a path to pursue, providing them with the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our personality test is the first of a series of free psychometric tests that Alison is launching this year to help our member's self-knowledge and confidence in the workplace.”

The test assesses a person’s people skills, personal drive, work styles and learning styles. It is designed to uncover characteristics as an employee and colleague. The course highlights key strengths and weaknesses and gives personalised self-development tips. The results then suggest courses that will be most helpful to a person’s professional development and outline specific careers that they are most suited to.

On average, the test takes 18 minutes to complete. The 110 questions are separated across 16 sections. Once completed, learners can view the results and are presented with an analysis of their answers broken down visually.

This personality test is the first of a series of psychometric tests which will be published later this year including free cognitive skills tests such as; verbal reasoning, numeracy and abstract reasoning.

Alison is a social enterprise founded on the belief that everyone, everywhere is entitled to free education, and that from education comes empowerment. Through its free online courses, Alison has provided millions of learners around the world with the means to improve their lives through education. As of 2020, Alison has over 15 million learners, 2.5 million graduates and over 1,500 free courses.
