This module introduces you to the origins of digital forensic science. You will also learn about the difference between criminal and civil law and explore the types of computer fraud incidents. Also, you will go through the steps involved in incident handling as well as some computer forensics investigative theories and concepts.

In this module, you will learn about digital evidence protocols and presentations. You will also study best practices and protocols in the computer forensic laboratory. The computer forensic processing techniques, mobile forensics and specialised artefact recovery tools and kits for forensic examination and reporting will be discussed.
