This beginner Spanish course concentrates on three areas: pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. The course starts by teaching you how to pronounce vowels in Spanish correctly. We provide audio clips to help you work on your pronunciation and accent as you master open and closed vowels. We then demonstrate the correct intonation to use when asking questions and how to form plural nouns.

These Spanish classes then cover the use of demonstrative adjectives, which describe the position of something or someone in space or time. We compare singular, plural, masculine and feminine demonstrative adjectives. We identify which demonstrative adjective to use when the object is near the speaker, near the listener or far from both speaker and listener. The course then teaches you how to use the verb ‘gustar’ (‘to like’) in positive, negative and interrogative forms.

Our last study explores vocabulary used to discuss colors, patterns, clothing items and fashion accessories. We explain how to describe clothing items and ask for things you want as you practice a short conversation conducted in a clothing store.
