Elementary English 204

We have designed this set of ‘Elementary English’ courses to enhance your ability in English and help you gain confidence and assurance. This course is the fourth in the series and extends your knowledge of what you have learned in ‘Elementary English 201’ to ‘Elementary English 203’. In addition, several videos and auditory assets aid your pronunciation and understanding at each step so you feel confident speaking the language.

We begin with vocabulary relating to various parts of the body. The following topic examines all the words and phrases needed to explain certain conditions or terms required in the medical field. Once you have a solid understanding of these terms, we use them to increase your grammar skills. We review modal verbs and how they function. We then examine the modals ‘can’ and 'can’t', which are modals of ability and possibility and learn to use them in questions. We explore the modal 'could' before examining 'should' and 'shouldn’t'. We apply these to form questions when asking for advice or recommendations. 

You have heard the term 'practice makes perfect'. The final section delivers some reading and listening comprehensions that reinforce the vocabulary and grammar you have learned throughout the course. We encourage some speaking practice using the ‘ask and answer’ video footage before urging you to complete some written exercises you can download from the ‘resource’ section.
