Nikolas John Cakebread is an ESL (English as a second language) teacher and trainer, and has held many management positions across schools in Asia. His teaching career has taken him to China, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam. His classroom is always active, engaging and filled with fun and interesting activities and methods. Nikolas has taught people from all over the world, from beginners to seasoned teachers on how to improve and maintain a controlled, yet interactive, exciting, and professional classroom environment.
Nikolas has over 12 years of experience teaching ESL in international, public and private schools. He was the DOS (director of studies) for five years at an academy in Shanghai, China, and has also been a faculty manager at a private training school in Vietnam. He holds a BA in Social Studies, a diploma in child development and a certificate in classroom learning strategies. He was named 'Best Teacher of 2019' in Vietnam.
Nikolas has a goal to help teachers develop, build their confidence in teaching, cultivate a positive attitude towards teaching young learners, and give them the benefit of his years of experience. He can help teachers of all levels and experiences produce energetic, fun, activity-based learning systems within their classrooms. His aim is to encourage and guide teachers to create purposeful and dynamic, yet also, educational and engaging classes for all types of learning styles.
