We are seeking a meticulous and collaborative Publishing Account Manager to join our remote team. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for managing relationships with course creators while performing in-depth reviews of submitted course content. This includes evaluating content quality, originality, compliance with copyright laws, and identifying potential AI-generated material. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the credibility and excellence of our course library.
Key Responsibilities
Content Review:
- Evaluate course submissions for quality, originality, relevancy, and up-to-dateness.
- Ensure content meets editorial and academic standards.
- Detect and assess the extent of AI-generated content, confirming human expert oversight.
- Conduct plagiarism checks and basic copyright compliance reviews.
Creator Vetting & Relationship Management:
- Review the experience and expertise of course creators.
- Provide constructive, professional feedback in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong, respectful working relationships with creators.
- Collaborate with the publishing team to reach consensus on final course approval.
Internal Collaboration:
- Work closely with other account managers.
- Participate in team discussions and quality control processes.
- Support continuous improvement of publishing standards and workflows.
Requirements
- Native English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Strong understanding of online educational content, plagiarism detection, and copyright basics.
- Familiarity with tools for content verification (e.g., Turnitin, Grammarly, AI detection tools).
- Comfortable giving feedback and managing professional relationships.
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote team setting.
- Experience in publishing, editing, instructional design, or educational QA is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience working in EdTech or digital publishing.
- Understanding of AI content generation trends and associated quality control methods.
- Research skills and digital literacy (ability to quickly verify facts, authorship, etc.).
- Familiarity with digital course structures.
