The diploma course in the English language is an intermediate program designed to improve your vocabulary and ability in grammar at the B1 level. Each module introduces you to new vocabulary and uses these words to develop your language abilities. The course covers a range of grammar topics, including the difference between adverbs and adjectives, the past simple and past continuous tenses for interrupting actions, and the distinction between the past simple and present perfect tense. We will explore using modal verbs and perfect modals to express different degrees of obligation, ability, and possibility.
Continuing through the course introduces additional B1 grammar points, including the use and form of the past perfect tense, including identifying the adverbs of time that can be used with it. We will review the zero and first conditionals and introduce the second and third conditional and their uses. The present perfect and present perfect continuous tense are also covered, as well as the future continuous tense for expressing actions that will be in progress at a specific time in the future.
