Occupational health and safety is a very hot topic associated with the well-being of people working in industries and workplaces. Cal/OSHA is a state-level program enacted by California to ensure the protection of workers who are working within its jurisdiction and promote healthy and safe practices within the workplace. With this short course, Exoexcellence Consultants has provided learners with a basic introduction to this governmental agency and its working methods.

The course comprises only one module, which is further divided into three topics. It begins by introducing you to Cal/OSHA and the employer’s responsibilities under Cal/OSHA. Students will also learn how Cal/OSHA enforces its regulations and the inspection and post-inspection procedures. Then, they will proceed to learn about the three main rights Cal/OSHA provides to the workers. These include the right to know, the right to protection from workplace hazards, and the right to act to ensure a healthy and safe working environment.

Throughout the course, you will find engaging graphics to help you grasp the presented concepts more. In addition, students will also learn to resolve these occupational health and safety issues with employers before submitting the complaint to Cal/OSHA. Every topic is followed by a series of questions to help learners revisit the concepts they have gained.
