Course Information

This free online course will discuss the essentials of the upcoming major revision of the ISO 9001 standard.

Only a few standards and regulations can make a global impact, and ISO 9001 is one of them. First devised in 1987, ISO 9001 has come a long way. It has helped hundreds of thousands of organizations, businesses, and companies devise robust Quality Management Systems (QMSs), which in turn have helped them attract more customers and ensure their satisfaction.

The last update of ISO 9001 was made in 2015. Since then, major technological innovations have called for a more robust evolution and update of this standard. Although these revisions and updates have not been finalized, ISO 9001 experts at Exoexcellence Consultants have developed this course to illuminate these possible changes. The course comprises four topics. The first topic talks about the importance of ISO 9001 for businesses and factors that can change this standard. In the next topic, students will learn about changes that should be introduced in ISO 9001 to make it more relevant to modern-day advancements, such as IoT, big data, and especially AI.

Several prerequisites have been discussed in the third and fourth topics to help organizations implement an updated and revised standard/regulation. A separate topic, which gives a clause-by-clause overview of proposed changes, is also included in the course. While the revision of ISO 9001 is intended to be made in 2026, developers have tried to keep the tone of this course timeless so that students belonging to the regulatory and compliance sector can reap benefits from it whenever they want.
