This free online course helps you learn the basics of the SIEM tool used for organizational network security.
It would not be wrong to say that today’s organizations won’t be able to survive without having a robust network security tool. In today’s day and age, taking cybersecurity lightly can lead organizations to face drastic consequences. To avoid them, they have to incorporate robust network security tools, such as SIEM. SIEM stands for Security Incident and Event Management. At Exoexcellence Consultants, our learning and development experts have developed this course to show our commitment to making organizational networks safer than ever.
With this basic course, developers have intended to teach the students the basics of SIEM, its types, advantages, and limitations. They have also provided a comprehensive comparison of SIEM with other network security tools, such as firewalls, SOAR (Security, Orchestration, Automation, and Response) and XDR (Extended Detection and Response). Similarly, a brief overview of some well-known SIEM tools is also discussed.
The course also contains a short topic on SIEM audit and compliance. It alsodiscusses various aspects of compliance, such as log management, creating an audit trail, ticketing and tracking, and defining the Record of Authority. Although the course is not extensive, the concepts discussed in it are enough to build a foundational understanding of different aspects of SIEM and its functions. Numerous interesting graphics are added across the course to enhance students’ understanding of this tool. They are also required to pass the course assessment before applying for an Alison certificate.
