Course Information

This free online course discusses coding Arduino UNO and preparing it to send data to the ESP32 board.

This course is ideal for you if you're keen on the Internet of Things (IoT) and wish to gain insight into applying the ESP32 - Arduino combo in your projects. In this beginner course, we teach a simple approach to programming these two microcontrollers, Arduino and ESP32, with the Arduino IDE. First, we go over the necessary hardware and software for our project. Next, we describe the MQTT protocol, including its fundamental ideas and the reasons behind its necessity.

Next, we explore the ESP32 board, its specifications and numerous peripherals. Then, we move on to the Arduino coding process and explain each step and code line through practical examples. It begins with including libraries and starting serial communication and ends with uploading the code to the Arduino board and verifying its performance. Following that, we discuss the ESP32 coding, including defining variables, creating specific methods for easily connecting to WiFi, and reading incoming data.

Finally, we investigate how to prepare ESP32 and Arduino boards for maximum efficiency. We look at how to modify the code to meet your desired outcome, upload it to the ESP32 board using MQTT Explorer, and test it with Serial Monitor. Lastly, you will study how to design the circuit connection of our two boards using Fritzing software. This course will equip you with the foundational information to be successful on your upcoming ESP32 projects. Sign up right now!
