Russell Stannard has lectured in ICT and Multimedia for 15 years. He gives talks and workshops all over the world and is particularly interested in helping teachers and students who have only limited knowledge of using technology in their teaching and learning. He regularly writes about technology in educational journals, magazines and even in the British Press. He was awarded the Times Higher "Oustanding Initiative in ICT" and 2 years later won the British Council "Technology" award.

He is well known for his work on using screen capture for providing feedback to students. This idea has given him an international profile and Russell has taken the idea all over the world, including China and Japan. He has a regular column in the English Teaching Professional called Webwatcher, where he writes about technology and language teaching. The column has been running for 10 years. The ELT Professional has begun to offer free on-line examples of Russell's articles from Webwatcher.
