Alison Reintroduces Weekly Medals to Help Learners Build Lasting Learning Habits

Tuesday, 11th August 2026

GALWAY, IRELAND - 2026-08-11

Alison has brought Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals back to the platform, giving Learners a clear weekly signal of their progress as they build stronger study habits.

Available on the Stats & Activity page of the new Learner Dashboard, the medals reward regular engagement rather than one-off achievements. Learners earn Bronze by studying one day in a week, Silver for two days, and Gold for three days, making steady learning visible every step of the way.

Small Wins That Encourage Bigger Progress

Building new skills isn't only about finishing courses. It's about returning often enough to keep learning.

Weekly medals give people an immediate way to see that consistency paying off. Instead of waiting until the end of a course to feel a sense of achievement, they receive regular recognition simply for showing up and continuing their learning journey.

By celebrating progress throughout the week, the feature helps transform learning from an occasional activity into a lasting habit.

Consistency Matters More Than Perfection

For many Alison Learners, finding time to learn isn't always easy, and maintaining momentum can be just as important as reaching the finish line.

The three-tier medal system is intentionally simple and achievable. Whether someone studies once or three times in a week, every milestone reinforces the value of returning, helping people build confidence through consistent effort rather than expecting perfect routines.

Making Progress Easier to See

The medals sit within the Stats & Activity section of the redesigned Learner Dashboard, bringing weekly achievements together with other learning activities in one place.

Seeing that progress accumulate gives people a clearer picture of how small actions contribute to larger goals. Rather than focusing only on completed courses, the Dashboard now celebrates the behaviours that make course completion more likely.

Building Better Learning Habits, One Week at a Time

The reintroduction of weekly medals forms part of Alison's wider commitment to creating a more motivating and engaging learning experience.

By recognising consistency as well as achievement, Alison is helping millions develop habits that support long-term success. Every medal serves as a reminder that meaningful progress isn't built in a single day, but through small, regular steps taken week after week.
