The course begins by introducing you to the history of the competition law in India and the competition act that was promulgated in India due to anticompetitve acts and abuse of dominance by some enterprises in India. You will learn about the provisions of the India competition act on abuse of dominant power. You will also learn about the concept of combinations of enterprises, and the various regulations associated with the combinations.

The course also explains the various forms of licensing agreements, and how intellectual property rights interacts with competition law in India. The course explains in detail some of the most interesting and well known intellectual property cases in India. You will learn how the standard commission in India makes analysis on any litigation that arises from intellectual property licensing. 

The course then explains abusive practices by some dominant enterprises with patents. The course gives detailed examples on previous practices by patent holders that led to abuse of market power. You will learn about licensing regulations regarding copyright, around the world. You will also learn about trademarks and its relationship with copyright.
