In this free course, you will learn how to:

• Examine the osteology of the head and outline its key parts and features
• Describe what ‘normas’ are in the subject of osteology along with the norma verticalis and occipitalis aspects of the skull
• Discuss the norma frontalis aspect of the skull and the key bone structures
• Analyse the view of the skull from either side known as ‘norma lateralis’ and the bone formations visible through this view
• Examine the bottom view of the skull called ‘norma basalis’ along with sutures, boundaries, and processes
• Analyse the interior portion of the skull along with its bone structure and divisions
• Describe the location and key functions of the temporal fossa portion of the human skull
• Explain the inner workings of the infratemporal fossa and the relationship between its various structures
• Discuss the structure and functions of the strongest bone in the human body called the ‘mandible’
• Analyse the anatomy of the cervical vertebrae along with its key bone structures
