This course is intended to assist employers and employees alike in providing and creating a safe and healthful workplace. Some of the guidelines and recommendations contained herein are mandatory, while others are advisory.
This course aims to help organisations and individuals alike design and implement effective process safety management (PSM) systems to effectively control the dangers and calamities that the release of highly hazardous chemicals poses. The guidelines and recommendations herein provide methods and ideas on how to design an effective process safety management system, correct a deficient process safety management system, and/or improve existing process safety management practices. Did you know that it is mandatory for organisations to initiate an incident investigation as promptly as possible, but not later than 48 hours following the incident, and to retain incident investigation reports for at least 5 years?
The course is split into two frontiers representing the two approaches to process safety management: the standard-based approach and the risk-based approach. Did you know that the PSM standard requires employers to maintain piping and instrumentation diagrams (P and ID)? P and IDs provide engineers, operators, and maintenance employees with information on how to maintain and modify the process. They also show the interconnection of process equipment and its instrumentation.
This is an informative, interactive, and well-organised course designed to help you excel in your career as an engineer, operator, or technician. Learn and get certified.
