Forming relationships with other people is a part of our very nature as human beings. While every culture has its customs, rules and traditions when it comes to forming relationships, we all have the ability to connect with other people. We have thus designed this course to teach you the basic vocabulary to understand and discuss relationships and dating. You will start by learning different verbs that will help you hold a conversation regarding dating and romantic relationships. You will then learn to identify different types of relationships to explain what kind of relationships you have. 

After learning these new words, you will study two grammar sections. The first lesson will focus on phrasal verbs. If you are unfamiliar with phrasal verbs, take the 'Elementary English 208' course first for an introduction to phrasal verbs. This course will focus on forming phrasal verbs in the present, past and future tenses. Understand the difference between transitive and intransitive phrasal verbs and identify separable from inseparable phrasal verbs. Also learn how to form questions with phrasal verbs using past, present and future tenses. This first grammar lesson will also introduce you to reflective and reciprocal pronouns, and you will learn how to differentiate between them. The second grammar section will focus on the present perfect continuous tense, where you will master continuous and recent actions with results in the present. Then learn to identify the difference between the present perfect tense to indicate continuous actions and the present perfect continuous. If you are unfamiliar with the present perfect tense, take the 'Intermediate English 304' course first. 

The final section has been designed specifically to help you integrate and practise your new grammar and vocabulary skills. You will practise reading, listening, speaking and writing skills using what you have discovered about dating, relationships, phrasal verbs and the present perfect continuous tense.
