The focus then shifts to air conditioning systems specifically designed for HVAC technicians. We explain how to calculate heat and fluid flow for air conditioning and examine the AC refrigeration cycle and the various AC cooling systems available.

We then address the critical aspect of indoor air quality and discuss pollutants and contaminants and their sources. We show you how to control and improve air quality by employing source control, filtration and dilution techniques. Lastly, we lay out the process of selecting HVAC and unitary systems.
