Description

First, the course will outline the BLS 2015 guidelines and explain how they differ to the 2010 guidelines. It will explain the details and categories that changed in delivering basic life support and cardiopulmonary resuscitation to an infant, a child and an adult. You will also examine how to administer CPR to adults, children and infants through videos that will show you every step.

Then, discuss what to do once you arrive at the scene, whether you are alone or there is someone else with you. Learn how to check for responsiveness, how to use automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and how to open the airway in infants, children and adults. You will also analyze mouth-to-mouth and mouth-to-nose ventilation.
