During my internship, I had the privilege of being an advocate for all the youth in DCFS care in Illinois. My duties included assisting in the preparation and presentation of the "topic of the month" at meetings, contributing to presentations delivered at the DCFS director's meeting, and guiding other youth in care to come up with solutions to problems that could be resolved without director intervention.
