Manish Gupta: “Alison and I have the same objective: to impart knowledge to the masses.”
Manish Gupta is a hospitality professional with experience and expertise in finance, hotel management, operations and business development. Manish spoke to Alison about his professional training, creating courses with Alison and what students can expect from studying with Hotel Management School.
I am a qualified public accountant working for over 10 years in hospitality finance. I have taught at both the Geneva Business School and the Swiss Business School in Myanmar. I started working in a Shangri-La hotel in 2009. Working hard and learning from peers about the industry made me an expert in finance, and my curious nature helped me to learn trade secrets very fast. While working, I had enormous opportunities to learn from various situations in a short time as the hotel business was at its peak. I went through lot of crisis situations. Shangri-La Hotels have great training programmes which teach not only hotel operations but also finance. I’m also the founder of the Hotel Management School, which specialises in online courses on hotel management.
I came across Alison while exploring online teaching opportunities. Alison and I have the same objective: to impart knowledge to the masses. Alison has very high standards when it comes to course quality, descriptions and structure. Publishers need to research and prepare course material and assessment questions thoroughly. Alison has lot of students who visit their platform on a regular basis and hosting courses on Alison has helped me to validate my courses by providing certifications.
My courses on hotel management are structured around fundamental knowledge necessary to understand advanced concepts.
