Agile Master Training
Cement your knowledge with this course that shows you how Agile thinking and project management is a useful tool for business decision-making.
‘Agile’ is a methodology or way of doing things that involves breaking down a big project into phases and then working together as a team to constantly improve the processes and outcomes in a collaborative way. Basically, you do small tasks or ‘releases’ frequently and you are always aiming for improvement.
Because you are working on a defined goal or ‘phase’ you can respond more easily if things change. Rather than having mapped out and being locked into the whole project - meaning it is difficult to adjust - a phased approach allows for more flexibility or being ‘agile’, hence the name.
Which industries use Agile?
Because it is an approach to project management in general, the Agile methodology can be used across virtually any industry in theory. In practice, it is generally used in software development - you may hear developers talking about ‘Phase one’ or about going into ‘a sprint’ (a specified period dedicated to making new work ready for review. Once reviewed, improvements can be made before the next set of work is tackled - this is this Agile approach).
If you want to go into software development, a background understanding of the Agile way of doing things will be very helpful.
