How will I receive notifications regarding the results of my course review?
Upon completion of the course review, you will receive an email notification from us.
In the event that updates are necessary, the Alison team will email you with feedback. You can then log into your publishing tool account to review the feedback and make the necessary corrections. (see video below)
Conversely, if the course meets the required standards, you will be informed that your course has been published.
Validation Rules
There are two different types of validation rules. These are either soft rules or hard rules.
Soft rules are recommendations from the Alison team to make your course better, from our experience. You do not need to follow these if you don’t think your course warrants the change.
Hard rules are, as described, and cannot be ignored. To publish your course, you must fix any hard rule issues.
Yellow exclamation marks accompanied by notes indicate soft validation rules, suggesting potential changes.
In contrast, red exclamation marks and notes signify hard validation rules, mandating specific changes before the course can be submitted.
These rules and notes will appear across all elements of your course, from fields to assets, images and videos. It will help ensure your course is in a good condition before you submit it for review.
How long does the review process take?
Your waiting period may vary between one week and four weeks, depending on the volume of applicants at any given moment. The final decision on your acceptance or rejection will be determined by the quality of your execution of the test course material, in accordance with the provided instructions.
How do you submit a course for review?
Once you select the View course modules button, you will see an option to Submit for Review will appear at the top of the page as highlighted in the image below.
Simply select the Submit for Review button and your course will be now sent to us for review. If you search for the course in the home page of the publishing team you will now see that the status has changed to Sent for review as highlighted in the image below.
Once the course has been accepted by us to review your course status will be updated to In Review as shown in the sample below.
Note that the course cannot be edited when its status is set to In Review until we update the status back to In Progress.
