JavaScript - Working with the Document Object Model and jQuery Plugins will introduce you to the Document Object Model and how you can develop your web pages using jQuery plugins. As a web page loads, the browser creates a Document Object Model (DOM) of it.

The HTML DOM model is constructed as a tree of objects and JavaScript can work with the DOM to add much greater interactivity to web pages. You will learn how JavaScript can change, remove and add HTML elements and attributes, all the CSS styles, react to all existing HTML events in the page and create new HTML events in the page.

You will also learn about jQuery. You will learn how its syntax is designed to make it easier to navigate a document, select DOM elements, handle events, create animations and develop Ajax applications. You will learn about plug-ins which are available on the Web and cover a range of functions such as dynamic lists, drag and drop, events and many others. You will learn how to link your web pages to a jQuery plugin to add even more functionality to the web pages.

This course will be of interest to all web developers wanting to learn more about using JavaScript to work with jQuery plugins and the DOM to enhance the interactivity and functionality of web pages.
