Description

This course begins by introducing you to the basics of digital image processing. You will learn about the numerous applications of digital image processing for product assembly and inspection in industries. You will also learn about how images are represented on a digital computer, how to calculate the Fourier Transform of a convoluted signal and the concept of signal reconstruction from samples.

The course then moves on to explain image formation, image geometry, interpolation and image transformation. You will learn about perspective transformation in digital image processing - an important concept for understanding how a point in three-dimension (3D) world is imaged by a camera. You will also learn about B-spline functions, Fourier transformation and its properties, interpolation operations along with desirable properties of interpolation.

Finally, you will learn about image enhancement techniques, image restoration techniques and colour image processing. You will get to understand the necessity of image enhancement in digital image processing and discuss the forms of spatial domain operations. You will also learn the meaning of mask processing, image averaging and the types of frequency domain techniques. Start this course today and learn valuable skills about inverse filtering minimum square error, and image registration in digital imaging.
