Philodanceophy was created by Anas Otry and his partner. Anas is a professional dancer, qualified dance instructor specialising in ballroom and Latin American style dancing, choreographer, music and short movies producer, YouTube content creator, and professional Michael Jackson tribute artist. His artistic career began at a young age with acting/ dancing roles in local theatres. At the age of 15 Anas formed a boy band, which started to produce their own shows and go on tour, gaining widespread publicity among youngsters and TV stations.
Anas started teaching ballroom dancing in a private dance studio prior to joining the American franchise, Arthur Murray Dance Centers, where he became a certified dance instructor. As an instructor and choreographer Anas managed to teach, compete, perform and graduate a countless number of students as well as win an international dance festival contest as a top teacher, competing against 270 Arthur Murray studios in 22 countries around the globe, for two years in a row. His recognition in the ballroom-dance industry got him featured in TimeOut magazine in Abu Dhabi as a top Middle East dance instructor. His achievement got him a promotion as a branch manager of the Arthur Murray Dance Centers in Abu Dhabi.
Anas won a Pepsi commercial dance competition as the best Michael Jackson tribute artist and travelled to Tokyo in Japan, where he represented Jackson’s legacy. He was featured in many magazines including Austri's Der Standard, British TimeOut, Russian Emirates and more. Anas, together with his partner, then created Philodanceophy, a UK-based dance company that specialises in teaching ballroom dancing, producing short dance movies and tutorials as well as organizing events, live shows and team-building activities.
