APC is a community of aspiring pilots, student pilots, ATOs, and Airlines. Their objective is to provide the next generation of pilots, from every background, with the best possible career start. Captain Andy O’Shea, CEO of APC, is a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and is widely regarded as a leader in the pilot training industry. He has been a professional pilot for over 40 years, including 15 years in the Irish Air Corps and 27 at Ryanair.
As Ryanair’s head of training for 18 years, Captain Andy O’Shea trained over 10,000 low-hour pilots as they transitioned successfully from initial qualification to their first airline pilot job. He has worked with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and chaired the Aircrew Training Policy Group (ATPG) for four years. During this time, the ATPG presented multiple policy papers to EASA and the EU Commission, all of which have been accepted and incorporated into EU organisation workstreams.
