Step 1: Create an Account

First, visit our Sign Up page.

When you choose Sign Up with Email, you will need to enter your first name, last name, email address, and create a secure password. Or, you can create an account using any of your social accounts by clicking on its icon and logging in to it.

Step 2: Verify your Account

Once you've created a new account via email, you'll need to verify it.

You should receive an email at the email address you provided. The email will contain a link to verify your account.

Click the link in the email and your account will be verified.

Step 3: Log in

Once your account is verified, you can login by visiting the Login page.

Enter your email address and the password you chose when signing up and you're in!

Then, pick the login option you prefer. If you want to Sign Up using any of your social accounts, simply click its icon and log in.

Check your spam inbox. If you find the confirmation email from us, move it into your inbox and update the label on the email.

Check your inbox settings to see if Alison emails are being blocked or filtered. You’ll need to update the settings in your inbox in order to receive emails from us.

If you create an account using a social media platform, your Alison account will be automatically verified without requiring a confirmation email.

If you entered the wrong email address, please re-register with the correct one.

In order for your account to be fully activated, you need to confirm your email address. Check your inbox for a confirmation email from us and click on the link in the email. This will activate your account and you’ll be able to login again.

If you didn’t receive a confirmation email or you cannot find one in your inbox, then we’ll have to confirm your account manually. Simply send us a blank email with the subject Confirm.

When you login, you may notice an error message that your password is incorrect. Try entering again. Remember that passwords are case-sensitive, so check that your “CAPS LOCK” is turned off and you are entering it correctly.

If you have forgotten your password, you’ll need to select a new one. Here’s a step-by-step guide to reset your password.

You have more than one account with Alison. Check that you enter the correct email address and password to login to the correct account. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to remove an unused account.

If you created your Alison account using your social media account, you’ll need to choose the relevant social media link on the left side of the login page. If you still have login issues, you may need to reset your password on the social media platform’s website.

You will need to use an iOS device in order to use the Apple login. Unfortunately, it is not possible to use this login via a web browser.

If you created your account through a partner website, you will need to log in via that portal. You do have the option of logging in directly on Alison. You can use the reset password feature here: reset password. If you'd like to discontinue sharing data with the partner organisation, you'll need to do so right here at this step.

Look through your spam folder for an email from Alison. If you find it in your spam folder, simply move it back to your inbox and then follow the instructions in the email.

Try signing up again using the correct email address.

Some email service providers automatically block certain emails. Update your inbox settings to allow emails from Alison. If you have an email filtration system, such as Boxbe, you may need to update this too.

If you created your account using a social media platform, you’ll need to reset your password on the social media platform’s website.

To unsubscribe from Alison emails, simply log in to your Alison account and head to your Account Settings. There, you'll find the Email Subscriptions section where you can easily manage your preferences.

On the page that opens, you can choose which types of emails you'd like to receive or unsubscribe from specific mailing lists.

Courses in progress

The first widget gives you the ability to return to any of your enrolled courses. You can resume your most recent course or use the widget to explore others by clicking Other Courses in Progress, as illustrated in the image below.

You can simply scroll down to search for your course:

Completed Courses & Claimed Certificates

Claimed Certificates

To see all your purchased certificates and download documents, you can check out the Claimed Certificates widget:

This will open your LinkedIn profile, where a form with pre-populated certificate details will appear.

Some useful information:

• Name = Name of course

• Issuing Organization = Alison - Free Online Learning

• Time period: From = The date you completed the course. Please note Alison certificates do not expire

• Credential ID = Cert No. (as shown in Learner Achievement Verification)

• Credential URL = URL as shown in the address bar of your Learner Achievement Verification

To set up Study Reminders, click on any option in the widget. On the next page, review the date and time for the reminder and update it if needed.
