Mike Feerick, founder of the Galway-based global online learning portal, alison.com, says a 200-year-old former monastery in the centre of Loughrea, which is earmarked for the firm’s future headquarters, is almost ready for its temporary role as a Ukrainian family refuge. “I purchased it as a long-term HQ for Alison and have owned it for two years now,” he told today’s episode of the Irish Independent’s Big Tech Show podcast.
